Samdhong Rinpoché, Lobsang Tenzin, était l'ancien premier ministre du gouvernement tibétain en exil et un membre de bureau de la Fondation pour la Responsabilité Universelle (Foundation for Universal Responsibility T. kun phan bde rtsa). Il était aussi un ami personnel de longue date de Krishnamurti et membre du Directoire de la fondation Krishnamurti en Inde, fondé par Mme Annie Besant. C'est à ce titre qu'il parle de son ami et de ses projets d'éducation dans le documentaire consacré à Krishnamurti "Krishnamurti, chroniques d'une vie peu ordinaire" (VOSF). J'ai regroupé les interventions de Samdhong Rinpoché ci-dessous avec ma propre traduction française.
"Dans ce monde, la plupart des traditions religieuses sont devenus des systèmes, et ont perdu leur caractère de religion ("no religion"). Certaines personnes bien connues ont alors eu une compréhension ou reçu un message spirituel, et pensèrent qu'il devait y avoir un nouveau message ou une nouvelle philosophie permettant de revitaliser le nom des religions et qui les regrouperait toutes. Dans ce but, la société théosophique fut fondée par Madame Blavatsky et le Colonel Olcott. D'autres chef spirituels les rejoignirent, tels que l’évêque Leadbeater et Madame Annie Besant, qui étaient à la recherche d'un corps pur et un esprit pur, capable de canaliser la nouvelle sagesse. Et ils trouvèrent Krishnamurti qui fut élevé et éduqué pour devenir un nouveau instructeur du monde."[1]
"Il y avait une hiérarchie une organisation et beaucoup d’autorité etc. Krishnamurti finit pas évoluer par lui-même et s’est éveillé lui-même. Il devint alors véritablement un instructeur du monde, et sa vie durant, plus de 50 ans, il a délivré son message unique, qui est l’essence de toutes les religions, tout en étant différent de tous les systèmes et institutions religieux. Cela est très approprié et important pour l’humanité à l’époque moderne."[2]
"La mission de sa vie, l’objectif de la vie de K. était la transmission du message de la sagesse à autant de personnes que possible. Toujours, il essaya de parler à l’humanité à l’échelle la plus large possible. Mais lui-même n’était pas un organisateur, il ne savait même pas s’acheter un billet de train, prendre un train et se rendre d’un endroit à un autre. Il devait dépendre de ses amis et des personnes qui l’aidaient. Par une raison que j’ignore, il était toujours entouré des bonnes personnes pour organiser les choses à sa place. Au départ, ce furent des gens de la société théosophique. Après sa rupture avec la société, sa relation avec Madame Annie Besant restait comme avant et lorsque Madame Annie Besant avait constitué des fondations comme la fondation Krishnamurti, acheté des maisons à Chennai, et plus tard des maisons et des écoles à Rajghat, à Rishi Valley, Krishnamurti disposait toujours d’écoles, de centres d’études et de bureaux de la fondation où ces personnes organisaient des conférences, des dialogues et des rencontres pour le bien des autres. Ces personnes connaissaient la mission de sa vie, et afin d’accomplir cette mission, les gens qui l’entouraient se chargeaient toujours de l’organisation"[3].
"Krishnaji souhaitait éduquer la jeune génération d’une autre façon. Il pensa que le système actuel d’éducation était une sorte d’endoctrinement, de lavage de cerveau, qui ne libérerait pas l’esprit de son asservissement"[4].
"K. pensa que l’éducation était très important pour que l’humanité évolue dans une bonne direction. Le système d’éducation dominant dans le monde, n’est pas une éducation, mais une sorte d’endoctrinement, de lavage de cerveau. Il charge l’esprit des étudiants de toutes sortes de conditions. Et en plus il est autoritaire. “Ceci est vrai, cela ne l’est pas”. Et il ne fera jamais confiance au potentiel de l’intelligence et de la force de tout un chacun"[5].
"Il ne contribuera donc pas au déconditionnement de l’esprit humain. Il pensa pour cette raison qu’une nouvelle façon d’éduquer la jeune génération était essentielle. Il en parlait à des sympathisants et à ceux intéressés par son enseignement, et il fut décidé d’ouvrir des écoles avec un système d’éducation différent. Dans les écoles ouvertes par les trois fondations Krishnamurti dans le monde (Royaume-Uni, Etats-Unis et Inde) on suit la méthode d’éducation de Krishnamurti. On essaie de laisser la plus grande liberté aux étudiants, sans endoctrinement et sans autoritarisme. Les étudiants sont incités à se questionner, à analyser et à voir les choses pour eux-mêmes"[6].
"Ces écoles ne suivent pas de système rigide, pas de syllabus ou de curriculum rigide. Dans toutes les écoles comme celle-ci à Chennai, la plus ancienne à Rishi Valley, à Rajghat Varanasi, ou encore l’école de Bangalore Valley, on essaie de transmettre les bases de la société, tout en évitant les comparaisons, la compétition la jalousie. Les étudiants sont encouragés à travailler ensemble. K. avait l’habitude de dire que l’éducation a pour but d’éveiller l’intelligence de l’individu, et que grâce à elle, sa bonté naturelle pourrait s’épanouir. Une fois que l’intelligence d’une personne a été éveillée, il n’y a plus besoin de la discipliner. La personne se discipline elle-même"[7].
Elles déploieront leur propre bonté par elles-mêmes. Ces écoles ont fait beaucoup de bien aux personnes qui ont reçu une formation dans les écoles de K. Les étudiants qui sont passés par les écoles de K. sont généralement très différents de ceux qui sont allés aux écoles conventionnelles[8].
"Les écoles de K. acceptent des personnes qui ne seraient pas prises par les écoles privées ou publiques. Les écoles ne sont pas gratuites, mais en comparaison aux autres écoles, elles ne sot pas très chères. On essaie de fournir une éducation gratuite à 5-10 % de la population totale"[9].
"K. parlait toujours d’un point de vue absolu, jamais du point de vue relatif. C’est pourquoi il n’accepte pas les notions de degré de progression ou d’évolution. Selon ce point de vue, il n’y a ni temps, ni effort. Simplement une transformation spontanée. Si vous êtes éveillé, vous êtes éveillé. Si vous n’êtes pas êtes éveillé, vous ne l’êtes pas. Il n’y a pas d’éveil à moitié ou du non-éveil à moitié"[10].
"Puis, Krishnamurti était une personne extrêmement aimable. Pas uniquement dans son enseignement, mais il était une personne très affectueuse qui prenait soin des autres. Quand on était proche de lui, on ne voulait plus se séparer de lui. Il vous accordait une attention très particulière. Il prenait grand soin de chaque individu."[11]

And some of spiritual understanding or message received by some well known people and they thought there should be some new message, some new philosophy, by which the name of religions can be revitalised and all religions might become together and that a new way of thinking can be created. [2] There was some kind of hierarchy and organisation and a lot of authority and so forth. Finally Krishnamurti evolved himself and he enlightened himself. He then really become a world teacher and throughout his life, for more than 50 years he delivered his unique message, which is the essence of all religions, but different from all the religious systems and institutions. And that is very relevant and important for humanity in this modern age.
[3] The mission of his life, the objective of K's life was to convey the message of the wisdom to as many people as possible. And he always tried to reach out to the humanity as large as possible. But he himself was not an organiser, he didn't even know how to purchase a train ticket, to get into a train and to go from one place to another. He had to depend on his friends and helpers. Due to some force, he always had good people to organise things for him. In the beginning these people were mainly those of the Theosophical Society, then he broke away with the society, yet his relationship with Madame Annie Besant remained as before and when Madame Annie Besant had established certain foundations like the Krishnamurti Foundation, purchased some houses in Chennai, and later on they established houses and a school in Rajghat, in Rishi Valley, wherever he goes he always found some schools, study centers and foundation offices. And these people organised public talks and dialogues and meetings for the benefit of the people. They know the mission of his life and in order to fulfill his mission, the people around him always organised public talks and dialogues with people.
[4] 22 :00 Krishnaji wished to educate the younger generations in a different way. he always thought that the present system of education was a kind of indoctrination, brainwashing. And that it would not make the spirit free from the bondage.
[5] 25 :00 K though that education is very important for evolving the human beings in the right direction. The prevailing education system in this world is not an education, but a kind of indoctrination of brainwashing. It puts all kinds of conditions upon the minds of the students. And moreover it is a kind of authoritarian "this is" and "this is not". And they will never believe the potential of the intelligence and strength of each of the individuals.
[6] 27 :00. So this will not help to decondition human mind. So therefore he thought a new way of educating the younger generation was very important. Therefore he talked to his well-wishers and those who were interested in his teaching, to establish his schools with a very different kind of education system. Due to that the three Krishnamurti foundations in England, America and India established schools in accordance with K's way of educating. They tried to keep the students as free as possible, without indoctrination and authoritarian teaching. They only try to encourage them to question, to investigate and to see things for themselves.
[7] 29 :00 There is no rigid system. No rigid syllabus or curriculum. All the schools in India like this school in Chennai, the oldest school in Rishi Valley and in Rajghat Varanasi, the Bangalore Valley School try to keep the economic essence like the other schools, yet the persons are kept without any comparison, competition and jealousy and help them to cooperate with each other. K used to say education is for awakening the intelligence of the person and thereby he or she can flower in goodness. Once the individual intelligence has been awakened, there is no need to discipline the person. He or she will become disciplined by themselves.
[8] 31 :00 So they will flower in goodness on their own. Therefore theses schools in India have benefitted numerous people who receive education in K's schools and thereby the children that are educated through K's schools are usually quite different from the children from conventional schools.
[9] K schools do admit those students who otherwise would be admitted in private and public schools. They have to charge, but in comparison with other conventional schools they are not very expensive. They also try to reach out to the poor people by giving free education to 5 -10 % of the total population.
[10] K talked only at the level of absolute, he never comes down to the relative. therefore he doesn't accept any graduation, anything becoming, anything progress or evolution. No time, no effort. Just spontaneous transformation. If you are enlightened, then you are enlightened. If you are not enlightened, then you are not enlightened. There is no half enlightenment or half non-enlightenment. In this way he always begins at the absolute level.
[11] And secondly, K was an extraordinary loving person. Not only his teaching, but K as a person was very very affectionate who would take care of others and very loving and affectionate once you became close to him, you never want to go away from him. He gives a very special kind of attention. He takes great personal care of each person.
